I have worked mainly with young people all my life; from being an evening youth worker in my early 20s, through to a career in Sports and Youth Development and then 15 years in Further Education, supporting many young people to pick their way through difficult life decisions and challenges.
My experience includes being the Pastoral Lead for three further education colleges. I have led teams of progress managers, student support advisers and attendance teams to ensure high quality support is offered to ensure people achieve their goals.
I have worked with literally thousands of young people in both and out of education.
I have delivered all aspects of non-curriculum advice and guidance including UCAS support, progression onto education, employment and apprenticeships. I have taught a wide range of learners; from Foundation to Level 4, including BTEC Levels 1, 2 and 3.
As well as my private coaching clients, I also support schools and colleges with individuals or group work. Plus I offer support to Young Devon, a local charity, working with people aged 10 – 24 years old. I also work part time at the University Of Exeter Medical School supporting students studying postgraduate programmes.
My experience is not only linked to young people; I have worked with many adults throughout my career. Coaches are for every age group!
